Over the past 5 years, North Salem Central School District has incorporated rePURPOSE'd projects into their arts curriculum. Students use their own recycled products to create fun and creative art projects. Our efforts are teaching the kids to produce less trash and to help the environment.

The Rivertowns of the Hudson Valley have banded together to focus on lessening their carbon footprint one step at a time. Local politician Amy Kramer said, "Each towns trash is put together and then sorted to remove any recyclables before the garbage goes to the dump." The excess recycled materials are then cleaned and donated to different eco-concious charities.
Students at the University of Miami have created a group dedicated solely to keeping trash out of the ocean and repurposing everything that can be salvaged. The group has gained momentum since being award a $25,000 grant by the Governor of Florida to continue their clean up and renewal of salvaged materials that would otherwise cause great harm to local sea life.
